I liked the decor of the rooms and dining area. The furniture was somewhat novel and the restaurant had good good food and I found the staff/musicians very entertaining. The room was somewhat small but comfortable.

Very nice hotel and restaurant. Clean spacious room, kettle in the room. Nice breakfast. Interesting design. Seafront across the road. Easy to get to from the airport. Free internet. Very helpful managers. Excellent value for money. Great substitute for Reykjavik's hotels if you travel by car. After we stayed there for 1 night we came back later during our trip as it looked much better vs. other hotels around.

The design of the hotel is very smart and stylish, the nearby Viking restaurant is a thing not to miss despite the questionnable quality of food, relating to it price and seriously bad-mannered stuff.
We stayed there for 3 nights and during our stay nobody ever cleaned the room or changed our sheets. We specifically asked the maid on our 3d day of staying to clean it, recieved the "yes" answer, left the room for several hours, returned and it was as dirty as ever. We stayed in Iceland during our visit in 7 hotels all around the island and this one was by far our only bad experience.

The guy at the desk of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The beds were excellent. The design of the hotel is quite extraordinary (if you like that sort of thing). Rooms were cleaned fast (but see the catch in the negatives).
The rooms could be cleaned better and the ladies should be more precise with the replacement of items. If you have a room at the harbour front (which are roomy and excellent) then beware of the busy road and the bus stops nearby. The restaurant next to the hotel attracts tourist groups which can be noisy leaving around midnight. However, the rooms are double glazed and thus keeping your windows closed helps a lot. Lastly; the parking spot for disabled people should be marked better (by painting it blue like everywhere else). We where unable to use it most of the time because it was taken by non-handicapped people!

It's reasonably large secure hotel, everything is perfect here. The staff are polite, the rooms are reasonably spacious and bright. The outdoor bar is lovely.

Every visit to Hafnarfjordur we like to stay here. The breakfasts are perfect and amazing. Make sure you stay in the cottage with sofas, a jacuzzi, as for instance.
Their breakfast is horrible, can definitely be improved.

The outdoor adventures were epic, especially hiking the scenic trails and biking around the beautiful landscapes. The staff were friendly, and the cozy cottages were perfect for our group. Don't forget to enjoy the hearty breakfast-they really had a great spread!
We did face a bit of an issue with the strong smell of sulfur in the hot water, a little uncomfortable for everyone. It was kind of off-putting, especially after enjoying the clean, fresh options elsewhere in Iceland.

The Viking hotel had a great atmosphere and fantastic character to it. Excellent proximity to the town centre and harbor. Really enjoyed the breakfast which was included in the price, freshly baked bread every morning and delicious marmalade. Staff friendly and helpful - we got a flat battery and they immediately assisted us with restarting the car - much appreciated.

Although the hotel is a bit funky in design with its viking motifs, the room was actually clean and a bit larger than normal since it had an extra bed. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It came with a kitchenette, but we didn't use it. It was also the cheapest place we stayed. It was located on the harbor which was nice. It had an elevator
The viking style was a little over the top. If you didn't have a car you would have to take a bus to get to the Reykjavik

The cozy cottage room offered an authentic feel, and the prompt breakfast service enhanced the experience. Porridge was a good highlight of the meal. The cabin was cramped and poorly lit were good. We faced multiple issues, including a lack of hot water affecting our stay significantly. The staff's response to our concerns felt dismissive and unhelpful, contributing to a frustrating experience.

Not even Disney could have made a better viking hotel. Everything is viking style without being corny. The restaurant is overprices and the food is ordinary but the decor in the restaturant is awesome.
